Sharing roughly 50% of the same parts as the R8 GT3 LMS race car, the Audi R8 Coupe is bred through the lens of motorsport. The 562-hp or 602-hp V10 performance engine epitomizes the mid-engine drivetrain concept, providing ideal vehicle balance through its center of gravity and dynamic weight transfer characteristics.

Technology

The Audi virtual cockpit is a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument display that allows the driver to customize information such as navigation and audio, offering Classic and Infotainment modes as well as Google Earth™. The R8 Coupe has a third option: Sport mode, which displays a large, central tachometer and performance statistics, such as a lap timer, horsepower and torque gauge, G-meter, tire pressures and temperatures.

Exterior

Showcasing its motorsport DNA and embodying its powerful performance, the R8 Coupe has a honed new look, from its wide front grille to its signature Audi Sport oval exhaust outlets, with new front and rear bumpers, side skirts, darkened headlights and more.

Performance

Teams from Audi motorsports and production worked hand-in-hand, sharing just under 50% of the same parts as the R8 GT3 LMS race car. The main attraction of the R8 is the 5.2-liter V10 FSI® engine, which produces 562 hp of power and 398 lb-ft of torque. Taking it up a notch, the R8 V10 performance cranks out 602 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque, and blisters from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
